Succulent and Floral First Birthday

OH MY GOODNESS I can't believe our baby girl is one! This year seriously flew by... yet it seems forever ago that I was in the hospital having contractions.

I've literally been planning baby girls first birthday since before she was born. Don't worry - I've been doing the same for baby boy too. I didn't really have a theme - I just wanted soft and girly. However, at the last minutes I became obsessed with cactuses and succulents so I had to throw those in there!

The day was absolutely perfect. We were surrounded by people we love and our girl is just so darn loved by everyone who meets her. She's sweet, silly and full of energy.

We had the party at Love of Character, the cutest little stationary boutique with the most precious event space in back. Best part?! You don't have to clean your house!!!

I utilized mainly local vendors. The sugar cookies were from Sweet Sugarlicious Wendy and the cupcakes were from September Moon Cupcakery. I ordered all the flowers from the local grocery store and spent the day before doing flower arrangements and the floral hoop wreaths.

We had a photographer come photograph the party so I could focus on enjoying the day. And lets be honest, I'm no pro photographer! We utilized Allie Burns Photography and she was so so amazing and wonderful with Miss Aspen.

I hope you are ready for picture overload because here we go!

The cutest little birthday girl ever!!

So, turns out donut towers are harder to make than I thought....

I kept the drinks simple. Pink lemonaide and water with strawberry. There was also a bucket full of capri sun.

The cupcakes were soooo cute! I had her leave some without succulents so I could put real flowers on them and i loved the way it all looked together!

I had my dad cut me a piece of plywood and just glued her monthly pics to. I meant to save room to write what month it was but didn't. oops.

Practicing my calligraphy skills from the workshop I took a month or so ago at Love of Character!

Her cute little invitations from Etsy!

For table center pieces I did a floral arrangement and then two potted succulents on each side. I ordered 5 bunches of peonies, one bunch of lambs ear and then grabbed two dozen peach roses and a few white flower fillers.

I got all the plates and napkins at Love of Character and then just layered them on the tables.

We took some family pics before the party started. I can't wait to print and frame them!!

We got baby girl a tee-pee for her bday which she loves and it was fun for the kids to play in during the party!

They had the cutest little kids table and chairs. I put out cute succulent coloring pages and floral tatoos but I don't think any of them got used. haha the kiddos that were there were too young.

Awe my sweet grandma who became a great grandma this year 3 x!!!

I purchased the big balloons on etsy and then had party city fill them with helium. I ordered 3 bunches of italian ruscus and had a TON left over.

I love the ikea high chair and the yeah baby goods insert!

All the vases were ones I had on hand at home and then was creative and found other things like votives to plant succulents in... The succulents ARE stil alive. woo hoo.

The one crown was from LOC as well. Baby girls romper was from Rocky Raccoon Apparel. I already have a few things for baby boy picked out from there!

I ordered little tea time sandwhiches from Jasons Deli to help balance out the sweet overload... oops!

Bumpin with a bestie!! Both have baby boys due a month apart!

I think its safe to say she loved her cake!

Baby girl loved opening her presents. Especially the stuffed animals!! I especially love the Cuddle and Kind Dolls.

It was seriously the most perfect day. There's so many more amazing picture of all the party guests and more of our girl enjoying herself that I may blog at a later time just to share with everyone.
